THE CEDAR ROOM CHARLESTON WEDDING // MCKENZIE + GREG.
It’s interesting what kind of moments get stuck in my head when I look back at weddings. McKenzie & Greg’s The Cedar Room wedding was no exception! When I entered the beautiful beach house in Folly Beach, SC, I was surprised by such a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. I entered the room with a big smile on my face and, in return, I received warm welcome with lots of hugs (I love hugs) from McKenzie, her bridesmaids and family.
Another great memory I have is the dress that McKenzie’s mom wore. Well, I have to say that “the best dressed mom award” definitely should go to her. She looked AMAZING! For a minute, I was a little afraid that her mom’s dress will steal the show. 🙂 Boy, I was wrong! McKenzie’s Anne Barge wedding dress was to die for and she wore that deep V cleavage like a boss. LOVED IT!
Now, let’s talk about their first dance, which I will never forget, for sure! I’ve already seen a few choreographed dances but McKenzie & Greg blew my mind! Their first dance made me absolutely speechless and weep behind the camera (yes, I’m that photographer who cries at weddings). The last thing that will forever been engraved in my memory and my heart was the deep, genuine love and friendship these two beautiful people share. They’re two of the most loving souls. I really enjoyed their company and I feel so blessed to be part of their wedding day. Thank you so much! I loved every second of it.
The Cedar Room, for sure, is one of the coolest venues I’ve shot at. The Cedar Room at Mercantile and Mash, located in the celebrated Cigar Factory is an open and airy space, featuring historic wood columns, hardwood floors and original elements of the circa 1881 building. When you add a killer team, amazing food, and great musicians then success is guaranteed! McKenzie & Greg, may you have a happy marriage full of laughter and an endless amount of love..and never stop dancing! xoxo
